The Process of Building a New Luxury Home

Sometimes just getting started is the hardest part. Understanding the building process is a good beginning for potential homeowners and the key to having a good building experience. Below you’ll find some basic steps and information that may help you get on the road to your new home with confidence.

Step One:

After selecting your new home’s site, pre-qualify with your lender for mortgage or determine goals.
Obtain two completed sets of preliminary plans (basic layout and front elevations) Mr. Vercher can help you find homeplans.
Present your floorplans to your home builder to begin the construction estimate
Remember to discuss custom aspects, unique wants and needs, with your builder and prepare him to deliver an estimate of the costs.

Step Two:

Compare and choose your builder if you haven’t already.
Make selections of fixtures, floors, hardware, etc
Fill out a description of materials form with the builder- a craftsman builder, such as Sam Vercher will have options you may not have considered.
Time to start construction.
